Services
The American Association of Retired Persons recently conducted a study and learned that 90% of all individuals over the age of 65 want to stay in their home as they age. By 2018, 2 out of every 3 caregivers will be an in-home caregiver, not a caregiver in a long-term care facility. We are committed to providing the care that people need to be able to stay in their homes.
Medical and non-medical assistance in your home
New Horizons In-Home Care in Corvallis provides in-home care that is non-medical as well as medical. We can offer care to everyone from medically fragile children to seniors of any age. All of our Corvallis-area care managers are nurses, so they can provide care that other in-home care companies can’t.
Non-medical in-home care could include (but is certainly not limited to), meal preparation, housekeeping, bathing, dressing, and transportation to and from appointments. The care managers that work with our Corvallis office serve the different communities that they live in. We have caregivers that work and live in the community!
Medical assistance in your home could include (but again, is not limited to), administering medication, setting up pill boxes with the proper medication and making sure that the patient takes their medication at the correct times. Our care managers can help with wound care and hospice care. Our Corvallis-area office offers caregivers trained in care of people with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments, and we work in conjunction with a hospice if they need additional care to provide respite for a family member who is providing primary care.
The care that Corvallis New Horizons In-Home Care provides is based on the individual need of the person. We take great care to get to know each person’s unique needs.
Caregivers
With all of the Corvallis-based caregivers for New Horizons In-Home Care, you will have the assurance of knowing that our nurses and care management teams are thoroughly screened through background checks, reference checks, and drug tests before they come to work for us. We personally select caregivers for the care of our patients and continually manage the care that they provide. All of Corvallis staff is bonded and insured.
We have Corvallis-area professional caregivers with at least six months of training prior to coming to work for us. Throughout the Linn-Benton County area, including Lebanon, Sweet Home, and Albany, Oregon, we have nurses available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When someone calls our phones, their call is answered by a real person who works for our company and lives in the Corvallis area. If there is a need for an in-home care assessment to be done on the weekend or in the evening, we have nurses in the Corvallis area able to do that.
